Product Overview

The UCF series features a square flanged bearing housing that is secured via four bolts to a mounting surface perpendicular to the shaft (such as the side wall of a machine or the end face of a housing). The bearing axis is perpendicular to the mounting surface, making this series suitable for applications where mounting from beneath the base is not possible and the shaft must be secured from the side.

Pillow Block Bearings

The Pillow block Bearings are essentially a variant of Deep Groove Ball Bearings; they are characterized by a spherical outer diameter surface on the outer ring, allowing them to fit into a corresponding concave spherical seat within the bearing housing to provide self-aligning capability. These bearings are primarily designed to accommodate combined radial and axial loads—with radial loads predominating—and are generally unsuitable for bearing axial loads in isolation.

Pillow block Bearing is a bearing unit combined roller bearing and housing together. Most of the outer spherical bearings are made outer diameter sphere, installation and imported bearing bore together with a spherical structure forms, versatility and interchangeability.

They can be classified into three types based on the locking method: UC (set screw), UEL (eccentric sleeve), and UK (adapter sleeve).

Structural Features

The housing features a square flange design with four bolt holes (either through-holes or threaded holes) at the corners.

The center of the flange features a spherical bore designed to mate with the spherical outer surface of the insert bearing.

It houses a UC-type insert ball bearing (UEL or UK variants are also available).

The flange plate is thick and rigid, offering high stability through four-bolt mounting.

Some models include a grease nipple to support re-lubrication.

Product Highlights

Side-wall mounting: The shaft extends through the center of the flange, making it suitable for mounting on equipment casings or machine frame side walls.

High rigidity: Four-bolt mounting combined with a thick flange plate provides strong resistance to overturning moments.

Space-saving: No mounting space is required beneath the shaft.

Easy alignment: Flange-face positioning makes it easy to ensure coaxiality during installation.

Self-aligning capability: The spherical interface compensates for static misalignment.

Wide application: The second most commonly used series after UCP.

Typical Applications

Machine casing side walls, packaging machinery, food processing equipment, conveyor line end drives, textile machinery, printing and dyeing equipment, woodworking machinery, automation equipment, gearbox output ends, agricultural machinery side walls.

Selection Tips

Ensure the mounting surface is flat; tighten the four bolts in a diagonal, crisscross pattern.

Verify the overturning moment if the flange housing has a significant overhang.

Consider the UCFL (rhombic/diamond-shaped) housing if space is limited (it uses two bolts and is more compact).
