Product Overview

The UCFC series features a circular flange with a central pilot (locating boss). During installation, the pilot fits into a corresponding locating hole on the equipment panel, ensuring precise coaxial alignment. Secured by four bolts, this series is suitable for drive applications requiring high coaxiality and precise positioning.

Pillow Block Bearings

The Pillow block Bearings are essentially a variant of Deep Groove Ball Bearings; they are characterized by a spherical outer diameter surface on the outer ring, allowing them to fit into a corresponding concave spherical seat within the bearing housing to provide self-aligning capability. These bearings are primarily designed to accommodate combined radial and axial loads—with radial loads predominating—and are generally unsuitable for bearing axial loads in isolation.

Pillow block Bearings can be classified into three types based on their locking method: UC (set screw), UEL (eccentric sleeve), and UK (adapter sleeve).

Commonly matched cast bearing seats include vertical seat (P), narrow vertical seat (PA), high center vertical seat (PH), square seat (F), convex square seat (FS), convex circular seat (FC), diamond seat (FL), annular seat (C), slider seat (T), suspension seat (HA), adjustable diamond seat (FA), and suspension bearing seat (FB);

Structural Features

Circular flange housing with a central cylindrical pilot

Four evenly spaced bolt holes on the flange

Pilot mates with the equipment panel's locating hole to ensure coaxial alignment

Spherical inner bore accommodates a spherical outer-diameter ball bearing

Typically equipped with UC-type set-screw locking bearings

Product Highlights

Precise positioning: Pilot fits into the locating hole for high coaxiality and rapid centering during installation

Circular flange: Ensures uniform load distribution and high rigidity

Four-bolt mounting: Offers superior stability compared to two-bolt rhombic housings

Self-aligning capability: Spherical interface compensates for static misalignment

Easy installation: Simply position via the pilot and tighten bolts; no repetitive adjustments required

Common Models

UCFC Number

Technical Specifications

Shaft diameter (metric): 20mm ~ 90mm

Load series: 200 (Light Duty) / 300 (Heavy Duty)

Locking method: UC set-screw

Housing material: Gray cast iron (standard) / Ductile iron

Seal type: Double-lip seal / Triple-lip seal

Number of mounting bolts: 4

Positioning method: Central pilot

Typical Applications

Precision drive equipment, gearbox output ends, machine tool accessories, conveyors requiring precise positioning, automated production lines, printing machinery, and packaging machinery drives

Selection Tips

The mounting panel requires a machined locating hole to match the pilot; follow tolerance recommendations in the catalog

The fit precision between the pilot and the hole directly affects coaxiality

For applications not requiring a locating pilot, the UCF square flange housing is an alternative option
